Testimonials

Kate / Nurturing Therapy was highly recommended to me by another health professional, second to her level of clinical experience in the field of childhood disability services (or whatever it might be referred to as!). She has been the key health worker for my almost three-year-old son Hugo, who has a 6-9 month global developmental delay and an ASD (level 2) diagnosed very early in life. In the space of twelve months, with intensive therapy, coordinated and contributed to by Kate he has absolutely blossomed, and the early interventions have meant that he is closer to the same physical and psychological level as his peers. There is still some work ahead of us, but we intend to include Kate’s expertise as the focus of his interventions. We can’t be any more grateful than we are to have found Nurturing Therapy!

Kate is a friendly and compassionate therapist with a wealth of knowledge and ideas to share. She is fantastic at creating resources to support her clients needs/goals and always goes above and beyond. Our daughter has come a long way since first commencing therapy with Kate in January 2021 and she really enjoys their sessions together (and we do too!). It is evident that Kate is genuinely passionate about helping our daughter to achieve her goals. We are extremely grateful for the support Kate provides and would not hesitate to recommend her services to other families.

Kate is proactive when working with my daughter, designing a program to meet Ebony's immediate and future needs. She has helped teach budgeting, first aid and home skills among other things, as well as finding Indigenous activities in the community for Ebony to engage in and connect her to culture. I would highly recommend as a support worker.

It has been a pleasure to work with Kate, who has helped my son Easton. He’s loved having you help him!

Kate is an absolute gift to have on board as an Educator / Therapist for our child. She is well experienced, dedicated, caring, and even looking to further her own learning - everything you would hope for in a Therapist. Even during difficult times of illness, scheduling issues, or a pandemic, Kate’s approach is always professional and the needs of the client and family always comes first. During the space of a few short weeks working together, we have seen our daughter (who has complex disability) progress in small, but significant ways through Kate’s learning. She adores Kate, and we feel very fortunate to be seeing her weekly. Look forward to working together in the future. Kate, you are very much appreciated in all that you do for us.

Thanks for seeing Freya today - she loves it. I don't know if it's correlation or causation, but afterwards we went to Cirkidz and Freya was the most engaged, interactive and persistent than she's ever been. She was calling out answers, playing with the trainer and even did all the aerial silk moves (though after yelling out to the trainer "not to make it too hard for me"). She usually flat out refuses to even try the aerial silks. It was lovely to see her being her cheeky self outside of the house. See you next fortnight!
